NAMTSE As its name, Namtse, meaning sky high, it is situated at an elevation of 5500 ft. Nestled among the hills, it is just the right place for the panoramic view of the snow capped Himalayan peaks and vast stretches of valley. TENDONG HILL It is a small flat stretch of land at an altitude of 8530 ft above Damthang. It is surrounded by lush green old forests and overlooks Namtse town. Scenic view from the height of this hill, 10,300 ft, is unmatched in this part of the world. Jorethang Jorethang is a major town in south Sikkim which is situated at an altitude of 300 m. It has a pleasant temperate climate. It is located on the foothills with Rangeet River flowing below. On the opposite side of the river, in the south, are situated the hills of Darjeeling. Jorethang is well connected by buses and jeeps.
